Grace Hannell
Grace Hannell is a photographer and writer based in Bristol but hailing from South Wales, who graduated with a 1st class Hons degree in Photography from the University of Plymouth in 2018. Since then she has been continuing to attempt to practice photography and write in between other miscellaneous jobs.
Her main bodies of work focus on heritage and personal experiences in places of importance, as well as exploring other’s relationships with place, nature and folklore.

2015-2018 : University of Plymouth BA (Hons) Photography - 1st Class Hons
Royal West of England Academy: Relationship Manager
Cwtsh Community Arts Centre: August 2018 to 2022 : Voluntary Social Media Co-Ordinator, invigilator, English to Welsh translation and photographer/public engagement event assistant.
Ffotogallery : October 2018–July 2019- Archive Assistant Intern: Assisting in re-organising, cataloguing and conserving Ffotogallery’s archive, also re-organising and conserving Library material as well as assisting generally in events and invigilation duties/visitor assistance.
Gallery 76m2, Pontypool, Autumn 2018: Working for The Kickplate Project in their pop up gallery as a Gallery Assistant and trainee Curator.
Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery: March-June 2018: Archiving, photographing and assisting in
conservation of avian taxidermy for the museum’s archive collection and interactive displays.
Grace is also a previous member of Phrame Wales, a photography collective based in South Wales which encourages and supports female artists, as well as providing its members with opportunities for exhibitions and platforms.
